The author studies the title problem from an abstract mathematical standpoint, showing that the classical Sobolev space framework does not always apply to mathematical models used in engineering applications. Introducing an improved constitutive law the author remedies this problem and is able to give a buckling analysis of elastoplastic plates up to the collaps load.
