The paper is a survey of some applications of the Chrestenson functions in multiple-valued Logic Design, Pattern Processing and System Theory. After a preliminary short theoretical introduction we analyze in detail an example of disjoint spectral translation to optimize the design of a four-valued switching circuit. We show then how to apply the Chrestenson Functions to obtain the polynomial expansion of p-valued functions, where p is a prime. We continue our survey with the presentation of the two- sided two-dimensional Chrestenson spectrum and power spectrum of a Pattern and we show how to use these spectra to analyze certain pattern properties. Finally we disclose a logical derivative for p-valued functions and study the class of linear p-adic invariant systems.
