Starting from the (heuristically suggested) discrete system version of the conditions assuring sliding modes in continuous-time control systems, the author proposes conditions for the existence of a quasisliding mode on the control switching hyperplane in discrete variable structure control systems. The control signal is generated using discrete values of the error signal.
