Let L(G) be the subgroup lattice of a group G. A subgroup S is called dual standard in G if the map \(X\to S\cap X\) is a homomorphism of L(G) onto L(S). Theorem. If a locally solvable torsion-free group G contains a proper dual standard subgroup then G is locally cyclic.
