The method of adjoints and the quasilinearization method for two-point boundary value problems of ordinary differential equations with parameters are applied. A simplified mathematical model for hydrodynamic lubrication is given. The original nonlinear partial differential equations have become a set of ordinary differential equations with parameters. These boundary value problems are solved by using the shooting method. The algorithms and procedures in details for solving these equations are given.
