In Int. Workshop: Convolutional Codes, Multi-User Commun., USSR, Sochi, 206-208 (1983), \textit{V. A. Zinov'ev} presented a new method to get lower bounds for constant weight codes. In this note we show that a simple modification of the Zinov'ev method gives further improvements.
