The author considers a non-Euclidean crystallographic group \(\Gamma\) (NEC-group) with some fixed system of generating elements S and constructs for \(\Gamma\) the canonical fundamental polygonal (Fricke polygonal) with the sides which are identified by transformations from S. The analogous problem for Fuchsian groups and some modern results of NEC- group theory are used.
