The existence problem for non-projective Buekenhout ovals (or B-ovals) had remained unresolved for a long time. In 1977 \textit{N. Krier} [see Arch. Math. 28, 323-324 (1977; Zbl 0363.05023)] constructed the, up this time, unique example of an infinite non-projective B-oval. The purpose of this note is to indicate a simple way of constructing, by means of ultrapowers, a large class of non-projective B-ovals which are extensions of the Krier B-oval.
