On homogenization of fissured elastic plates (Q1071564)

In this contribution we shall concisely present our results concerning the homogenization of thin, fissured elastic plates in bending. To obtain effective properties of such plates we employ the asymptotic method proposed in \textit{E. Sanchez-Palencia}'s book, Nonhomogeneous media and vibration theory (1980; Zbl 0432.70002). The internal Signorini problem for a three-dimensional elastic solid is characterized by only one closed and convex set. This set represents constraints imposed on the behaviour of the solid. On the other hand, in the case of plates in bending we have to distinguish five different closed and convex sets.
