The author defines a class of differential operators with constant coefficients for which the classical Weyl formula of the asymptotic distribution of the spectrum is valid. The estimate of the remainder is found. The author has shown that the class in consideration cannot be essentially extended with preservation of the classical asymptotics of the spectrum. The results are valid also for systems.
