The interaction of two KdV solitons is investigated, both analytically and numerically. Dynamical equations describing this behaviour are derived, discussed and compared with some numerical calculations, starting from the exact analytical expression of each soliton. It turns out that the smallest soliton can move, for a while, with a negative velocity.
