The author replaces the usual Cauchy singular integral S(f) of a function f by the following function \(S_ c(f)=S(f)+cf\), c being a complex constant. Then he rephrases some known results for linear singular equations in terms of this ''new'' singular integral. To the reviewer it is not clear which may be the novelty of this approach (apart from its formal aspect) and its scientifical significance.
