This paper extends earlier results of the authors by calculating \(K_ 3({\mathbb F}_ q[t]/(t^ i))\) for \(i=2,3\) and odd prime powers \(q\). Their results derive from group cohomology calculations coming from the Lyndon-Hochschild-Serre spectral sequence supplemented by some earlier work of van der Kallen and Stienstra.
