A multicriteria microcomputer-assisted system for the identification of bacteria (Q1072956)

This paper describes the foundations of a multicriteria microcomputer- assisted system for identification of bacteria based on commercial kits of biochemical tests. It extends previous results of the authors, \textit{Ph. Beyne} and \textit{F. F. Rousselot-Piette}, Microcomputer assisted identification of bacteria and multicriteria decision analysis. Comput. Oper. Res. 11, 361-372 (1984). The diverse problems arising from the use of the existing commercial kits are introduced by means of the cybernetic approach. The mathematical identification models used in the microcomputer system are based on utility and outranking concepts. The results of an experimentation are given.
