Proposed is a model of associative memory in networks of cells possessing short-term plasticity. The model originates from the holographic neural system of the second author [see e.g. Holographic and trace strength models of rehearsal effects in the item recognition task. Mem. Cognit. 4, 186-199 (1976)] and is further adapted to data relating synaptic transmission efficiency and post-tetanic potentiation. Simulation of storage and retrieval events is carried out. The model is briefly compared with other similar ones.
