The author considers the boundary value problem \(\epsilon y''=yy'\), \(y(- 1)=\alpha\), \(y(1)=\beta\), where \(\epsilon\) is assumed to be a given infinitely small real strictly positive number, \(\alpha\) and \(\beta\) real numbers that are not infinitely large and compares his results with those of \textit{S. M. Roberts} [ibid. 97, 245-265 (1983; Zbl 0523.34003)].
