    The author gives a generalization for the Gibbons-Hull proof of the positive energy theorem in 4-dimensional space-time with electromagnetic charge (ref. 1 in the paper). Specifically, it is shown that if M is a space-time asymptotically flat at spatial infinity, which may contain bounded matter and black-holes in its interior, then the Arnowitt-Deser- Misner mass satisfies the inequality \(m\geq r_ 0[Q^ 2_ E+Q^ 2_ M]^{1/2}\) where \(r_ 0\) is a parameter and \(Q_ E\) and \(Q_ M\) are the electric and magnetic charges respectively.
