Nested group divisible designs and small nested designs (Q1074585)

A balanced incomplete block design D(v,k,\(\lambda)\) is a set of k-blocks chosen from a v-set so that each pair of elements occurs in exactly \(\lambda\) blocks. A nested balanced incomplete block design ND(v,k,k',\(\lambda\),\(\lambda\) ') is a D(v,k',\(\lambda\) '). The author uses nested group divisible designs to obtain some infinite classes of both nested group divisible designs and nested designs. A catalogue of nested designs with \(\lambda\) '\(\leq 15\) is also given.
