The technical aspects of generalized Kaluza-Klein theories are simplified by considering the geometrical picture in terms of associated fibre bundles (when the internal space-time dimensions have the structure of a homogeneous space), a quotient space of a compact Lie group and a closed subgroup on it. Many of the heavy results in the physics literature are then simple.
