Solutions of Ornstein-Zernike integral equations for lattice gases (Q1075037)

A method is presented for solving the Ornstein-Zernike integral equation the solution of which may be used to calculate some of thermodynamic properties of lattice gases. Cubic-based lattices are considered. In the scheme the hypernetted chain method is used at all points in which the convolution sums are evaluated using a table of lattice weights. The method is more efficient than those employed earlier. The method is applied to a model of defects in AgCl. Sample results are presented and compared with previous calculations.
