The author introduces a modified version of a definition of Euclidean ring R using a mapping of R-\(\{\) \(0\}\) into some ordered set M with minimum condition. He proves that this definition is equivalent to the classical one and using this modified version he proves easily that the direct sum of a finite number of Euclidean rings is again a Euclidean ring.
