The classification of parahermitian symmetric spaces was studied by the present author and \textit{M. Kozai} [Tokyo J. Math. 8, 81-98 (1985; Zbl 0585.53029)]. The purpose of this paper is to establish a one-to-one correspondence between parahermitian symmetric spaces with semisimple automorphism groups and noncompact semisimple graded Lie algebras.
