We are concerned with laying the groundwork for finding multiple solutions to the problem of the flow between rotating disks in the steady flow case, when the fluid under discussion is the Oldroyd-B fluid. Because of the large interest in the rheological literature in numerical solutions for the flows of viscoelastic fluids, we have felt it is important to report our preliminary findings.
