A general framework for analyzing the cosmological readshift in conformal spacetimes is developed here. A theorem establishes that the temporal homogeneity of a factorizer reference frame implies that there is no redshift for the light emitted and received between any two of its observers. Application to the cosmological model of \textit{I. E. Segal} [Mathematical cosmology and extragalactic astronomy (1976)] is made. Contrary to Segal's claim, no redshifts seem to be in this model.
