The authors give six axioms which turn out to be necessary and sufficient for a fuzzy convergence to be fuzzy topological. In this ''translation'' from the classical case (Grimeisen, Gähler, Cook/Fischer et al.) the fuzzy version of Kowalski's diagonal condition plays a key role.
