The author generalizes the standard concepts such as proximity function, lower/upper semi-continuity to multivalued functions from one proximity space to another. Some basic properties of such functions, called proximity carriers by the author, are proved. Characterizations of paracompact spaces, compact spaces and collectionwise normal spaces in terms of proximity carriers are proved.
