The authors extend their work begun in Discrete Math. 51, 179-190 (1984; Zbl 0547.05021); 277-282 (1984; Zbl 0547.05022) by proving the generalized Moore geometries of type \(GM_ m(s,t,c)\) with \(c=s+1\) do not exist for \(m=6\) and \(m=7\), if \(st>1\).
