The author considers a group ring of the form \(K(<x>\times <y>)\) where K is a field such that char(K)\(\neq 2\), \(<x>\) is an infinite cyclic group and \(y^ 2=1\). He gives a description of the units of this ring and uses this characterization to determine the automorphisms in terms of their values on x and y.
