The notion of ''Schunck boundary'' was introduced by \textit{K. Doerk} [J. Algebra 30, 12-30 (1974; Zbl 0346.20012)]. This notion is used here to describe the lattice structure induced on the family of Schunck classes by ordinary inclusion: such a lattice is distributive and the maximal and minimal elements between two Schunck classes are studied. In order to do this, the author defines a lattice structure for boundaries which reflects inclusion between Schunck classes.
