Three major new steps in the continuing build-up and elaboration of our theory of behavior are accomplished in this paper. First, the basic structural definitions are recast, so that now both lattice operations figure in our structures. Second, we have argued the perception, and hopefully thereby convinced the reader of the fact, that incidence points (time points, space points, etc.) are stochastic processes; and we have offered an exact mathematical formulation of these processes. And third, we show as a consequence of the internal relationships that can be recognized when the true nature of incidence is set forth, that the law of homeostasis obtains deductively from our theoretical structure.
