The bosonic Fock space representations of the Virasoro algebra with central charge \(c=1\) are investigated and related with the irreducible highest weight modules classified by V. Kac. In a second part, the relation between the tensor product of Fock representations and the modified Kadomtsev-Petviashvili hierarchies is discussed.
