The paper under review studies the arithmetic of certain elliptic curves over an imaginary quadratic field Q(\(\sqrt{-\ell})\). It gives a computation of Selmer\(groups\). If the curve is a Weil curve then the method of Heegner points gives a point of infinite order on it. As usual the facts give some evidence for the conjecture of Birch and Swinnerton- Dyer.
