We study groups with the N-invariance condition for noncyclic subgroups. A subgroup H of a group G is called N-invariant in G if H has finite index in some invariant subgroup N of G. Theorem: In a group G containing a finite noncyclic subgroup, each noncyclic subgroup is N-invariant if and only if the commutator subgroup of G is finite.
