The author considers on a double-sheeted Riemann surface a singular integral equation with a multi-valued analogue of the Cauchy kernel. The equation is reduced to a Riemann boundary value problem for meromorphic functions. An application to a homogeneous singular integral equation of polynomial type on a torus is given.
