Dans \textit{M. S. Narasimhan} and \textit{S. Ramanan} [Am. J. Math. 83, 563- 572 (1961; Zbl 0114.382); 85, 223-231 (1963; Zbl 0117.390)] on a montré l'existence des ''connexions universelles'' desquelles on peut obtenir toutes les connexions sur des fibrés principaux. Dans le travail les auteurs considèrent le cas des fibrés vectoriels lisses, sans structures additionnelles et donnent un théorème de classification, montrent l'existence des fonctions classifiantes et étudient la courbure des connexions universelles.
