A characterization of finite determinacy of formal vector fields was given by the author in earlier papers [Invent. Math. 66, 199-214 (1982; Zbl 0491.58025); ibid. 70, 45-52 (1982; Zbl 0504.58010)]. In this paper, a classification of finitely determined singularities of formal vector fields in the 2-dimensional case is given. Reference is also made to \textit{J. Martinet}'s report [Sémin. Bourbaki, Exp. 564, Lect. Notes Math. 901, 55-70 (1981; Zbl 0481.34013)].
