Under reasonable, although peculiar, conditions an existence theorem of weak solutions for large times is proved for the accelerationless motions of a linearly elastic-plastic shell obeying Mises maximum principle for the plastic rate of deformation. A feature of the study is that a solution is regarded as a list of fields including explicitly the plastic parts of the rates of surfacial deformation and curvatures. Another feature is the technique of proof, combining time discretization and approximation with respect to a parameter.
