Boundedness of linear and related nonlinear maps. II (Q1079799)

The present paper contains several improvements and extensions of results previously obtained by the author in part I [ibid. 1, No.1, 71-75 (1983; Zbl 0533.47037)] concerning boundedness of certain, not necessarily linear, maps. The paper, which is a continuation of the previous one, also contains some observations relating the authors' work to dilation theory in modules over \(C^*\)-algebras, and to symmetric operators in Hilbert space. The original stimulus for the work came from certain boundedness conditions which are imposed on positive definite functions on so-called involution semigroups.
