Generalized mechanical systems. A mathematical exposition of nonsmooth classical Lagrangian mechanics (Q1079855)

Let a manifold M be the configuration space of a mechanical system in the sense of \textit{C. Godbillon} [Géométrie différentielle et mécanique analytique (1969; Zbl 0174.246)]. The author considers the case in which the force-field of the system is a semibasic de Rham 1- current on the phase space TM. The generalization for this case is created following the general program of Godbillon's book. The necessary geometrical theory of 1-currents on TM is investigated, connections between the generalized and the classical mechanical systems are described.
