An operator-theoretic approach to theorems of the Pick-Nevanlinna and Loewner types. II (Q1080138)

In part I [ibid. 3, 408-436 (1980; Zbl 0439.47010)] the authors developed an abstract scheme which comprehends a variety of problems on interpolation by holomorphic functions. Here they present a modification of the scheme which can handle interpolation problems involving matrix- valued and operator-valued functions. Various concrete applications are given. The scheme provides an efficient way of establishing the necessary and sufficient conditions for interpolation in the problems considered.
