This investigation is part of a program relating the geometry of modular lattices with their equational theory. Here, the exclusion of n-1- dimensional gluings of two n-frames is characterized. For \(n=3\) this leads to the variety of quasiplanes in which the subdirectly irreducibles generated by a 3-frame and the associated ternary coordinate ring are precisely the projective planes.
