Einige Stabilitätsungleichungen für gewöhnliche Differenzengleichungen in nichtkompakter Form. (Some stability inequalities for ordinary difference equations in noncompact form) (Q1080629)

In a forthcoming article [Some stability inequalities for compact finite difference schemes, Math. Nachr. (to appear)] the author has obtained stability inequalities for finite-difference approximations of boundary value problems for ordinary differential equations in cases where the mesh points may not be equidistant. However, the results of that paper were obtained only for the case where the difference equation is in compact form. The present work extends some of the results of the above- mentioned article to the noncompact case; however, here the mesh points must be equidistant. As an application the convergence of the discrete Green's function is treated.
