A procedure is presented for synthesizing a complex computational grid out of a number of simpler grids. The method allows a smooth complex grid to be generated which becomes exactly equal to each elementary grid as the surface corresponding to that grid is approached. A number of examples are described concerning grids for cascade airfoils, wing/canard grids as well as an automobile grid, which can be used to the numerical solution of various flow problems.
