We consider Griffith's crack in an elastic space opened out to a prescribed shape. Two rigid inclusions of negligible thickness, lying in the crack plane, are symmetrically placed with respect to the centre of the crack. Stresses and displacements for a class of crack openings have been determined in the form of Fourier integrals. The normal stresses at the crack tips and at the ends of the inclusions have been analyzed in details for the crack openings in the shape of an ellipse and that of two symmetrical parabolas.
