The problem of constructing a finite dimensional controller that robustly stabilizes an infinite dimensional feedback control system subject to an additive perturbation is considered. The procedure suggested in the paper involves two steps: the first is a simple finite dimensional calculation based only on the unstable part of the plant, the second is an approximation step.
