The author considers the class \(V_k(1-b)\), \(k\ge 2\), \(b\ne 0\) real (which is the same as the class \(V_k(\rho)\) introduced and studied by \textit{K. S. Padmanabhan} and the reviewer [Ann. Pol. Math. 31, 311--323 (1976; Zbl 0337.30009)] when \(0\le \rho = b<1)\) of functions of bounded boundary rotation of order \(1-b\) and obtains sharp bounds on the curvature of the image of \(| z| = r\), \(0<r<1\) under the mapping \(f\in V_k(1-b)\).
