The ring shells under gravitative loads (Q1082138)

This paper considers Novozlov's equation in a simple form for ring shells of equal thickness under the action of gravitate loads. By means of Fourier series, the special solution of the equation is established. Using the results of the homogeneous solution given by \textit{Chen Weizang} and \textit{Zheng Seliang}, ibid. 1, 3 ff. (1980), the general solution of the problem is given, and the expressions for stresses and displacements are derived. Two examples are given as the application of the above results.
