A general formulation of a higher-order boundary perturbation method is developed for investigating two classes of asymmetry effects in solid bodies: eccentricity and ellipticity. General expressions for treating these problems are derived in terms of perturbed functions and perturbation parameters. In part II, the method is applied to dynamic problems of radiation dislocation.
