\textit{R. H. Bing} asked [Am. Math. Mon. 76, 119-132 (1969; Zbl 0174.259)] if each tree-like continuum has the fixed-point property. \textit{D. Bellamy} [Houston Math. J. 6, 1-13 (1980; Zbl 0447.54039)] answered Bing's question in the negative. He gave an example of a tree-like continuum which admits a fixed point free mapping. We prove that certain inverse limits of simple n-ods have the fixed point property. Our theorem generalizes, in the case of simple n-ods, the fixed point theorem in the author's paper in Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 91, 139-142 (1984; Zbl 0538.54023).
