The author examines the accuracy of the finite-element method on triangular elements with six nodes and quadratic basis functions, using the example of the model problem of a crack. Asymptotic expansions of the solution are constructed with respect to various types of nodes, and it is shown that the accuracy of the method is O(h/\(\sqrt{r})\), where r is the distance from the vertex of the crack.
